Meet Jenene!
Jenene Curtis is as eclectic as her clients and loves variety! A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll. Specializing in cuts and color, she can do all kinds of hair from straight to curly and everything in between, fusion hair: office by day, rock star by night.
She also offers Express Keratin Treatments for anyone who wants easy blow dries and shiny hair.

You’ll feel comfortable the minute you sit in her chair. She listens, but will offer suggestions. She’s fun, friendly, and kind.
Jenene studied with Bumble and Bumble in New York, Framesi of Italy, and Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco. Devacurl certified since 2013.
Always open to learning and keeping up with new techniques. She has been doing hair since 1983 and still loves what she does. Jenene has styled hair for magazine photo shoots, music videos, and fashion shows.
Here is Jenene’s story, in her own words:
I grew up in the small town of Chico. Born in Utah and adopted at 3 days old. My siblings were also adopted from different families.
Later in life I would meet my birth father on a major talk show, and 15 years after meet my birth mother as well. It’s quite the story!
Obsessed with being beautiful, I started sneaking make-up to school at a young age, much to my mother’s dismay .Keeping up with the latest hair trends was important to me and I never wanted to be scary, or ugly at Halloween. So when dad said, you
need to find something to do with your life, beauty school seemed the obvious choice.
I didn’t find my true love for hair until later in my career. I was gonna be a Rock Star! Hair was a day job, until I woke up and realized I needed to rethink my life. So i got into a salon with
great education and fell in love with hair.
Education is so important to me, and I keep up with the latest trends, taking classes whenever I can. Lately, it’s been all about razor cutting, taking classes with Pony salon and Jayne from Edo salon.
On my days off you can find me running around my cute island home of Alameda in my purple car, (probably listening to an audio book).
At home you'll find me cuddled up with my two cats watching a Netflix series or movie. I also sing for a band called The Hyperdrive Kittens.
I love mermaids and anything sparkly! Don’t be surprised to find some form of sparkle on me or around me.
One of the things that makes me special is I enjoy good conversation. I love hearing your life stories, or we can talk about
what you’re watching or reading. Please feel free to give me recommendations for a good show or book, and I’ll do the same.
